(It was he who encouraged the establishment of THEOSOPHY magazine.)Compiler's Note: The Editors of, and the Contributors to, THEOSOPHY magazine through the years, besides writing so much original material, have also been very skillful at searching through the vast amount of Theosophical literature and gathering, arranging, and presenting many articles which contain only collated material. Each is a stand-alone article, or is part of a series of articles, consisting mostly of material skillfully brought together from throughout the writings and talks of either H.P.B., W.Q.J., or R.C., or any combination of them, in order to fit whatever the subject is, as indicated by each article's title. Whether you are a highly knowledgeable and skilled researcher, scholar, historian, educator, or an average student and searcher, you will definitely find them very useful and helpful.
A Key consideration: As you read you will run into some excerpts (and parts of excerpts) that you remember having already read in some other collated article (or articles) on the list; but you will also always find that they will be placed in the new article, which will be presenting a whole new subject, or a similar one, with additional material that you did not read before. These new and changing combinations of ways that they are found presented in will help you to steadily understand the ideas more and more as they appear in each new contextual arrangement.
All articles that begin with the word "The", and there are many of them, are in alphabetical order according to the second word in the heading, with the word "The" placed at the end of the heading, after a comma. For three examples, see the 1st, 3rd, and 4th articles on the below list of collations, which are entitled "The Absolute ALL", "The Ageless Repositories", and "The Ageless Self".
Since this is a "grouping" of articles that are listed alphabetically for the sake of convenience, rather than a "series" of articles written or compiled to be read in a specific order, reading them in sequence is not necessary from a proper contextual and comprehension point of view, as when reading a series. Each collation stands alone and can be read independently in any sequence (of course, there are a few series within the grouping which it would be best to read in sequence). However, if you want to read them all, little by little, in sequence, you will find, like in all of the many series of articles on this web site, that at the end of each article there is a link to the next finished article on the list, as well as a link back to this index page if you want to look the list over again for an article that you might like to read next.
Finally: Almost all of the articles that you click on have either a link to a footnote found at the end of the title, or immediately say something in the introduction to the article itself, if there is one, indicating whose writings the material was collated from, as well as noting the particular books and literature. Sometimes, for example, it will only say something more general, like this: "Collated from standard Theosophical literature". Here's the list of articles:
But first this note: Since I finished the first 293 collated articles, thinking that I had found them all at that time, I keep finding more that weren't listed as such in the various Index booklets that I search through, but do say so in the articles themselves. So as I find them, little by little, while doing other articles, I add them to the list here, alphabetically, even before I get around to scanning and proofreading them. The following will keep changing, but please know that at this moment in time the total number of both finished and unfinished articles on this page is up to 329, of which there are 2 that haven't been proofread yet, so are not links. They say ".......[not done yet]" after their title names. You may want to Reload or Refresh this page from time to time in order to make sure that you are seeing the most up-to-date version of it.
